AISWA's annual governance conference 'Briefing the Board' will be held at Kennedy Baptist College on Saturday, 4 April.

What Matters? is a 'catalyst for young thinkers and young writers to develop a perspective, a point of view, on where we're heading as a society'Inspired by Gough Whitlam's commitment to involving young people in the shaping of Australia's future, the competition is currently open to school students in years 5 to 12 from Australia. Speak Up Awards 2020
Welcome to Speak Up Awards 2020, the interschool public speaking competition for Years 4, 5 and 6 students sponsored by the Grand Lodge of WA Freemasons.This is the follow-up letter to the one sent late last year, encouraging schools to include the event in their 2020 curriculum. All heats will be held in August, with the preliminary finals at the Scarborough Masonic Hall, 193 Hancock Street, Doubleview and the final at the Lawley Park Village Community Centre, 55 Alexander Drive, Menora.

New toolkit boosts online safety resources for schools
A new toolkit launched today by the Government’s eSafety Commissioner will provide schools across Australia with resources to help prevent and respond to online safety issues, creating safer online environments for children across the country.
The eSafety Toolkit for Schools has four key themes – Prepare, Engage, Educate and Respond – and includes more than 25 individual resources with tips for teachers and school administrators on how to respond to online safety incidents, and promote safer online practices across school communities.
