Australian Teacher Workforce Data (ATWD) initiative
After families, teachers are the number one influence on the learning lives of our children. To ensure teachers are properly supported throughout their careers, it’s important that we understand the challenges and opportunities they face. The Australian Teacher Workforce Data (ATWD) project is an exciting initiative that is building a comprehensive picture of the national teaching workforce, across all systems and sectors, from initial teacher education through to the end of their teaching career. To properly understand the teaching workforce, they need to hear from teachers.
The ATWD Teacher Survey
The ATWD Teacher Survey will be provided to teachers annually to include teacher voice in the data. This year, teachers and principals are able to participate in the ATWD Teacher Survey via their TRBWA Teacher Login from 9 October to 27 November.

Drug Talk: Help-seeking Webinar | Thursday 12 November 2020, 9:00am to 10:15am
This one-hour webinar is about teaching help-seeking skills to students in Years 10-12 particularly when faced with situations involving alcohol and other drugs (AOD).
Help-seeking is an important social skill that enables young people to know when they need outside help, helps them identify the type of help they need, how to access that help, and how to apply what they have learned to solve their problems. This webinar draws on the interactive, online program Drug Talk: Body. Mind. Future. which recognises that adolescence is a time of increasing risk for AOD use. During the webinar, you will look at key alcohol and other drugs education concepts, explore Drug Talk teaching and learning resources, and discuss adolescent AOD use, including using illicit drugs.
