APLN meetings are an opportunity for Primary Curriculum Leaders to meet and discuss teaching and learning matters in a collegiate forum. 

The purpose of this Sundowner meeting is to:

  • review the year that was 2020: what did we learn as leaders?
  • discuss trends and issues related to teaching and learning
  • hear 'What makes Lance Holt School a unique place to teach and learn', and a tour of their learning spaces 
  • invite primary leaders to stay connected via the APLN Closed Facebook Group - please request to join https://www.facebook.com/groups/AISWAprimaryleaders

Maree Whiteley <span>(AISWA Staff)</span>

Maree Whiteley works with teachers and curriculum leaders to bring innovative and practical pedagogies into the classroom, through special projects and whole-school planning. Currently working as an AISWA Consultant in the Primary Teaching and Learning area, with specific expertise within the Humanities and Social Sciences Learning Area, this gives Maree the perfect platform to go beyond the curriculum, exploring areas of global imperatives for our young people, such as ethical and humanitarian issues, critical thinking and cultural competence. Maree continues to enjoy sharing her experience, knowledge and expertise with others in workshops, conferences and in online forums.

Christine McInnes

Christine McInnes

Christine McInnes is the Curriculum Leader and Year 3/4 Teacher at Lance Holt School, Fremantle.  She is committed to fostering student independence and their emerging sense of self-responsibility. Christine has a special interest in Digital Technologies and attended the AISWA ICT Educational Tour to the USA and in 2019 was fortunate to attend the AISWA Finland study Tour. “I’m passionate about children gaining the skills and understanding that will keep the widest amount of choices open to them, as they grow older. Our world is such a changeable place that they need to be adaptable, curious, persistent and creative in order to critically evaluate where and how they want to be.”
