2017 BRAINways WINTER CAMP FOR GIFTED AND TALENTED STUDENTS | Monday 10th - Tuesday 11th July 2017 | Perth.
Successful in New South Wales and Queensland, in 2017 the BRAINways Camps program is offered for the first time in Western Australia. Please find attached the documentation to be forwarded to the parents of nominated students.
For student registration, please follow the steps below:
1. The students are selected by their teachers.
2. Each selected student is receiving the following information: a) Nomination Letter, b) Program Information (relevant to the program they are invited to attend), c) Website address for enrolment
3. Parents are completing the enrolment via the BRAINways online enrolment system. An email will be received when the enrolment is completed, to confirm the place in the program.
4. Students are asked to bring the Nomination Letter when attending the programs, and present it at registration
Please note that, as limited places are available in the programs, the registration will be accepted on a first come, first served basis, and no reservations are possible. Therefore, it is advisable that parents login to register their children as soon as possible.

MONDAYS AT MURDOCH SEMINAR INVITE - THE INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE IN AUSTRALIA (Primary Schools)
Monday, 19th June | 4.30pm - 6.00PM | Murdoch South Street Campus.
Please join the Murdoch School of Education for a seminar presented by Dr Marcia Behrenbruch, International Baccalaureate Regional Development and Recognition Manager for Australasia.
In this seminar Dr Behrenbruch will detail the impact of the International Baccalaureate program within primary schools, and outline how primary schools can become involved in delivering the IB Primary Year Program (PYP).

AMPED UP PROJECT (Secondary Schools)
This project seeks to understand young people’s experiences, views and opinions on energy drinks and other caffeine-containing beverages.The Telethon Kids Institute is now seeking expressions of interest from all Independent secondary school principals to take part in this new research project. Participation in this project involves students in Years 7-12 completing one 20-30 minute online survey at school during class time in Terms 3 & 4, 2017

RESPONDING TO CHALLENGING BEHAVIOURS | PRESENTED BY SARA FIELD |Thursday, 27 July 2017| 9.30am- 4.30pm.
Sara Field has worked in the community services field for almost 18 years in both the Government and Non-Government sectors. Sara has significant experience working with at risk young people and adults in Community Corrections and Youth Justice.
This workshop is suitable to those working within the community sector as front line staff where the client group have complex and urgent needs and are seeking immediate resolution.
