Description
This full-day workshop will introduce you to:
- An interdisciplinary, way of thinking about teaching and learning.
- Creative planning with links to multiple Learning Areas, General Capabilities, and Cross-curriculum priorities.
- Opportunities to create authentic, meaningful student-led inquiry tasks.
- Using social media and online support to connect and collaborate with like-minded global educators.
This workshop provides all the tools required to start your PBL journey within your school, starting with real-world issues and challenges in your local area. Using the recent AISWA online publication, Taking Action: students as global citizens, to demonstrate the PBL process, participants will draw inspiration from the various case studies provided. Ongoing support will be provided to participants and a follow-up workshop is recommended at the conclusion to present and showcase student learning as part of the PBL process.
