AISWA Leadership Breakfasts - The Power of Story 2
AISWA have planned eight early childhood leaders breakfast mornings over the year, each with a focussed topic of conversation and a guest speaker. Our goal is to build awareness and facilitate discussion around key understandings relating to early childhood education. This session will examine the place of story in children's and young people's lives and that reading quality literature is a means of developing successful and productive futures. AISWA Speaker Series Part 1: Virtual Classrooms, More Than a COVID Response
The significant challenges of 2020 - and the lessons we’ve learnt from those - have inspired significant interest in online communication, collaboration and teaching and learning. We all faced different versions of the same problems and therefore created a wide range of different solutions appropriate for our circumstances. Vocational Education and Training (VET)
Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualifications have been developed with the specific goal of preparing students with skills for work. VET is designed to deliver knowledge and practical skills to help young people in the workplace. Tertiary Scholarships for the Children of Australian Veterans
The Australian Veterans' Children Assistance Trust (AVCAT) is a national charity that manages a range of tertiary education scholarships and bursaries for the children and grandchildren of Australian ex-serving men and women. Despite the somewhat disrupted start to the new school year we at the CBCA WA Branch are remaining positive and planning ahead. 2021 Raising Trailblazers: Reimagining the Middle Years
Middle school teachers! You won’t want to miss out on the chance to be part of this impressive action research project – Raising Trailblazers: Reimagining the Middle Years – a collaboration by Griffith University, University of Notre Dame and AISWA. An innovative and supported action learning project that addresses an area of focus on wellbeing and student engagement in the middle years (6-10) Schools that have already applied have commented on the project’s well-scaffolded design and the potential benefits for students and teachers, as well as the chance to publish in a professional text

ECU Alumni Mentoring Program is now recruiting teachers
ECU alumni can develop their coaching and leadership skills by becoming a mentor
ECU is currently seeking ECU teaching alumni to become mentors as part of the ECU Alumni Mentoring program. You can participate from wherever you are, virtual meetings are okay! This volunteer program will see you paired with an ECU student, you will then meet at your mutual convenience over a four month period to support your student mentee as they make plans to start their career. Apply now, applications close 9 April.
