STEM – Beyond the Acronym (P-8 AISWA/CEWA STEM Project Day)
23 October, 8.45 – 3.15pm | AIM Auditorium - Wembley | $60.00 (including morning tea and lunch: free registration for accepted presenters).

STEM projects are an exciting, efficient and engaging way of addressing subject content, the skills of project-based learning and most of the General Capabilities. Join AISWA and CEWA teachers and school leaders for a whole day iSTEM immersion.

AM Session: A variety of hands-on workshops using STEM equipment and resources
PM Session: Short, sharp presentations from schools about their best STEM projects

Kate Mullin Award 2019

The Kate Mullin Award aims to recognise and celebrate educators from any of the three WA school sectors of education, who demonstrate excellence in the teaching of English to Aboriginal students whose first language may be Aboriginal English, an Aboriginal Language or a creole such as the Kimberley Kriol. The educator can self-nominate or be nominated by a line-manager, colleague, student or community member.

Scouts WA Container Deposit Scheme Refund Service

Scouts WA has established a new social enterprise, Scouts WA Recycling, that can help your school raise funds when the scheme starts by providing an easy and convenient no-cost collection and refund service.  A 10-cent refund will be payable on each eligible beverage container (aluminium cans, glass and plastic bottles, LPB juice packs) returned to a refund point such as a Scouts WA Recycling depot. The Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) commences in WA in June 2020.
