    About Studio Schools of Australia Ltd


    Studio Schools of Australia (SSA) was established in 2019 to bring about a “system” level change in secondary education for Indigenous students in remote communities across northern Australia. This “system level” reform is based on well-established evidence of what works for Indigenous students, their families and communities, in a scalable, proven work-related model of education introduced at the Yiramalay / Wesley Studio School in the Kimberley, Western Australia, in 2010.

    Overview


    The Deputy Principal - Operations is a key leadership role ensuring the school runs efficiently, safely, and in alignment with Indigenous community values. Reporting to the Principal, this position oversees daily operations, staff coordination, and program delivery, while maintaining a 0.4FTE teaching load.

      • Resource allocation (budget oversight in collaboration with the Principal).


         






    • Deputise for the Principal when required.




    2.       Staff Development & Induction




    • Lead staff onboarding in partnership with the Principal, Deputy Principal - Culture, and Bunuba Language Mentor.




    • Establish a mentoring system for new staff.




    • Support individual professional growth plans for teachers.




    • Coordinate with school partner for Year 10 Induction programs.




    3.       Educational Program Delivery




    • Support the Principal in implementing culturally responsive curricula, including:




      • Bunuba language & cultural programs.




      • Vocational & work-related learning initiatives.


         






    • Liaise with external partners (sport, wellbeing, and industry organisations).




    • Ensure data-driven improvements (tracking attendance, retention, and student progress).




    4.       Community & Cultural Engagement




    • Build trust and relationships with Indigenous families, Elders, and local organisations.




    • Attend community events and represent the school.




    • Promote two-way learning respecting Indigenous knowledge and practice in education.




    5.       Strategic Planning & Reporting




    • Implement actions from the strategic implementation plan.




    • Contribute to long-term program planning with the IERC.




    • Report on KPIs (enrolment, attendance, staff/student wellbeing).

    Overview


    The Nurse is responsible for delivering primary nursing care and managing related administrative duties across the school site – Manjali Studio School. This includes providing first aid, coordinating medical referrals, and supporting the overall health and wellbeing of all students. 


    The position reports directly to the Principal.


    Operational Responsibilities




    • Provide high-quality first aid and initial clinical care to students in accordance with current guidelines and school protocols




    • Coordinate the safe transfer of students to the local clinic or hospital, including communication with caregivers and external health providers where appropriate




    • Manage the procurement, stock control, and replenishment of all medical supplies, including first aid kits and the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) emergency kit




    • Ensure accurate and up-to-date medical records are maintained for all students, including health plans, allergies, medications, immunisations, and consent forms




    • Oversee the implementation and compliance of school health-related policies and procedures, including those related to first aid, anaphylaxis, asthma, and medication administration




    • Maintain the student medical database with confidentiality and accuracy, ensuring timely updates and regular audits




    • Monitor and service medical equipment according to manufacturer guidelines, maintaining a current register of equipment and service schedules




    • Complete all necessary occupational health and safety (OH&S) documentation for injuries or incidents involving students, staff, or visitors who attend the health office




    • Maintain an up-to-date inventory and mapped locations of all school medical equipment and supplies across campus and residences




    • Coordinate student health screening and immunisation programs in collaboration with local health authorities and relevant organisations




    • Provide medical support for school events, including on- and off-campus activities such as excursions, cultural camps, and sporting events




    • Ensure all excursions and camps are properly prepared, including verifying the adequacy of First Aid kits and receiving all relevant student medical information in either printed or digital format




    • Deliver internal health training sessions and refresher briefings to staff on topics such as First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma management in line with school and jurisdictional requirements




    • Assist with audits and compliance reporting as required by regulatory authorities or school governance processes

    Overview


    The Program Activities Coordinator is responsible for developing and delivering a high-quality program of events, experiences, and activities that enhance the residential boarding experience for students.     The Education Support Coordinator at Studio Schools of Australia plays a pivotal role in ensuring the educational success and well-being of students, particularly those with diverse learning needs.     The Indigenous Education and Research Centre (IERC) Program Manager is responsible for the planning and the daily operation of the IERC program. The role reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is based on country at the IERC which is co-located with the Manjali Studio School in the Kimberley.

    • Develop and monitor school-wide assessment strategies to measure student progress and program effectiveness.

    • With the school Principals, plan and implement the annual professional development program, and professional support activities for all staff, to build capacity.

    Child Side K-10 School, established 2003 and located in Boyanup (20 minutes from Bunbury) in the South West region, is seeking two new teachers to work in full-time positions alongside our current long-term, highly experienced teachers in our purpose-based learning design. Our school has a core, stable group of long term, active staff and families who are aligned with our highly researched and highly successful design, structure and pedagogy which has proven long term value for children, families and society. We are seeking teachers who are seeking to contribute towards making a real difference working collegially within our whole school structures and design.

    About the role: Relief Teacher

    We are seeking dedicated and dynamic educators to join our Relief Teacher - Expression of Interest Pool.


    As a relief teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting our college by filling in for regular teachers during their absence. These positions offer a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work in diverse learning environments across different grade levels (Kindy - Year 12).


     


    Position Requirements:



    • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field.

    • TRBWA Registration. 

    • Previous experience working with students in an educational setting.

    • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to different teaching styles and environments.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
       


     


    Essential Criteria:



    • To have a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.

    • To actively be a part of a Church or Christian community and exemplify Christian beliefs, behaviour, and practices.

    • To accept the College’s Statement of Faith.

    • Build co-operative and supportive relationships with the board, principal, staff, students and parents.

    • Work to ensure personal best practice.

    • Ensure that decision making is based on fact and is impartial and fair.

    • Model the use of appropriate and proper channels of communication.

    • Adhering to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC.

    • First Aid certificate is desirable.

    About the role: Relief Education Assistant - Expression of Intrest Pool

    We're looking for committed and energetic Education Assistants to become part of our Relief - Expression of Interest Pool.


    As an Education Assistant, you'll be crucial in backing up our college by stepping in for regular Education Assistants when they're away. These roles provide a flexible timetable and the chance to work in varied educational settings across various grade levels (Kindergarten - Year 12).

    • Appropriate qualifications as an Educational Assistant (Certificate 3 minimum).
