Classroom and Specialist Teachers
Classroom teachers are responsible to the Principal with day to day responsibility delegated to the Deputy Heads of Secondary and Curriculum, and the relevant Head of Department.
Classroom teachers are required to present purposeful educational programmes to classes allocated to them on the school timetable, and to participate in the general life of the School.
Teachers must meet the following:
- Use the correct curriculum and syllabus in determining the teaching programme
- Being suitably qualified as a Secondary teacher

Overview
The primary role of the Chef is to provide adequate healthy meals to all students, staff and visitors whilst at the School. This is a live-in position on campus.

Operational Responsibilities
The Chef is responsible for:
Preparing menus
Provide food for the safety and suitability for human consumption and related purposes as required by the “Food Act WA 2008” & “Victorian Food Act 1984”
Maintaining high standards of tidiness and cleanliness in the kitchen and residences and providing meals for the students, staff and guests, ensuring that they have an appropriate diet
Reporting areas needing maintenance

Understanding the nature of student allergies/intolerances and working within the accepted School guidelines
Participation with any audit preparation and to demonstrate best practise compliance in the performance of the role
Skills and Capabilities
Effective operation of the day to day undertakings of the kitchen
The ability to build trusting relationships with students and staff and quality interactions with them
Flexibility in assisting with addressing unscheduled tasks that need immediate attention with regard to food and pastoral issues

Overview
The Residential Mentor is accountable for the day-to-day operation of the residential program of the school. Operational Responsibilities
Providing high standards of supervision and support to Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal students, including overnight
Monitoring student movements within and around the school and residences
Providing high-quality pastoral care including empathy, support, and encouragement to students, in order to help them flourish.
Establishing clear and consistent routines within the residences including wakeups and bedtimes, room care and cleaning, movement to classes, washing of uniforms and linen, technology use and the like
Conducting residence checks regarding cleanliness and tidiness
Establishing and contributing to the maintenance of a positive culture within the residences as students learn to live with one another in the spirit of many cultures, one community
Contributing to a friendly, warm, and enjoyable living environment for students, ensuring that respect for others, and property, is fostered
Playing a key role in supporting students to complete their community related service tasks, by working side-by-side students to encourage, teach and support as required
Actively encouraging and supporting students to value their educational learning opportunities
Actively supporting the Program Activities Coordinator by playing a key role in the afternoon, evening and/or weekend activities program for students
Depending on skills and experience, the Residential Mentors may be asked to assist in overnight outdoor trips, field trips and sporting events

Assisting students with their personal organisation and reminding and encouraging students to take care of their daily personal care routines
Providing support to students who are sick or in need of medical attention
