About the role: Director of Bible and Christian Studies
- Employment Type: Full-Time (FTE 1.0)
- Employment Status: 12-Month Contract, with possibility of ongoing.

South Coast Baptist College is looking for an exceptional leader to shape and deliver the College's Bible & Christian studies curriculum across the Secondary space. In this role, you will work closely with staff, students, and the broader College community.
Position Requirements:
- Experienced and qualified Secondary School Educator.
- Ministry experience and/or a relevant tertiary qualification in theology, Christian education, or a related field.
- Experience in teaching Bible Christian Studies or a similar subject within a school context
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and oversight, particularly within a Christian educational setting.
- Ability to provide spiritual leadership and guidance to students and foster a deep understanding of biblical principles.
- Experienced in mentoring and supporting teachers in their professional development and spiritual growth.
Essential Criteria:
- A personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Active participation in a church or Christian community, exemplifying Christian beliefs, behaviour, and practices.
- Acceptance of the College’s Statement of Faith.
- Ability to build cooperative and supportive relationships with the Board, Principal, staff, students, and parents.
- Commitment to personal best practice.
- Ensure decisions are impartial, fact-based, and fair.
- Model appropriate and proper channels of communication.
- Consistently act in the best interests of the College and its ethos.
- Adherence to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC.
- Commitment to maintaining a child-safe environment in line with the College’s values and policies.
Possession of the following certifications:
- Relevant Tertiary qualification
- Teacher's registration with TRBWA
- National Police Clearance
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid Certificate
