As per a Health Department email, sent to schools on 5 March 2021, schools that enrol children in the Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten years are reminded that the due date for submitting information to the Health Department is on Wednesday 31st March. This reporting is a requirement under the Public Health Act 2016 (WA) and the School Education Act 1999 (WA) and relates to children enrolled for pre-kindergarten or kindergarten for Term 1, 2021 who:
-
met one of the exemption categories (see Section 3.2 of the Guidelines) or;
-
who were on an active catch-up schedule at enrolment (see Section 2.1 of the Guidelines) or;
-
who held a valid immunisation certificate issued by the Chief Health Officer (CHO).
Reporting can be completed online using the Immunisation Status of a Child Reporting Form. If all children enrolled for Term 1, 2021 are up-to-date, it is necessary to confirm this by completing a report online using the Immunisation Status of a Child Reporting Form. This form includes an option to confirm that all children are up to date.
