Description

This workshop will demonstrate how Augmented Reality and Virtual reality can be used to redefine learning experiences in any classroom.

Through a hands-on set of activities, you will learn about and develop classroom-ready content aligned to the Western Australian Curriculum.

We will demonstrate and explore use of:

360° cameras
VR headsets
Merge Cubes
Cospaces EDU

The aim of this workshop is to develop your understanding of the possibilities of this technology and your confidence in using it in your context. We aim to highlight that this technology is the vehicle for learning, therefore, it is applicable to educators of all learning areas and age groups. It will be suitable for learners of all experience levels.

Simon Fittock <span>(AISWA Staff)</span>

Simon specialises in the curricular area of Technologies and STEM. He holds a Master of Education by Research degree from Edith Cowan University in the field of educational leadership. Simon has a keen interest in educational practice and has professional experience in Australia and abroad. He has developed his expertise through work as a teacher, researcher and teaching and learning consultant. 

Amy Zahra

Amy Zahra

Amy is an experienced teacher in the Western Australian context. She is a qualified primary and early childhood specialist with a passion for STEM and Digital Technologies. Amy represents Lumination as the Western Australian Technology Guide for implementing Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality into the Western Australian Curriculum.
