Education Consultant, School Improvement

Description

We are seeking an experienced Education Consultant, School Improvement to provide expert leadership in whole-school instructional and pedagogical models, NAPLAN and OLNA practices, data use and school improvement frameworks across P–12. The role will collaborate with school leaders and educators to build capacity in evidence-based improvement planning, data-informed decision-making and instructional excellence. The successful candidate will design and deliver engaging professional learning tailored to diverse audiences and actively contribute to advisory groups and stakeholder networks to advance school improvement initiatives.

This is a 12-month maternity leave cover, reporting to the Manager, Curriculum and School Improvement.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience and knowledge leading whole-school instruction and pedagogy models, such as AISWA HIPS or other established frameworks.
  • Proven expertise in leading whole-school NAPLAN and OLNA practices and supporting schools’ performance in these assessments.
  • Strong experience in whole-school data leadership, including collection, analysis, interpretation and application to drive evidence-based school improvement.
  • Deep understanding of whole-school improvement processes and models, including familiarity with the ACER School Improvement Tool or similar frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging, evidence-informed professional learning programs tailored to diverse P–12 audiences.
  • Proven capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, contribute strategically to advisory groups and build strong sector networks.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation and communication skills that inspire and engage school communities.
  • Proficiency in educational technologies and their strategic integration into curriculum, assessment, pedagogy and school improvement practices.
