How Stories Get Around
Are you often wondering how to motivate children who are reluctant writers and how to extend children who are natural writers?
In partnership with ECU, we would like to invite you to our new “I Wonder How Stories Get Around” Professional Learning opportunity.
Over the course of two days, this professional learning experience will allow PP and Year 1 teachers to critically reflect on their own knowledge and practice, as well as recognise how their students are writing in their play based classrooms. We will look at what the research says about Early Writers, the importance of drawing and talking in the writing process and how to create authentic writing tasks; where children are writing with meaning, and writing for a purpose in a child-initiated play based classroom.
Each participant will receive a copy of the text “I Wonder How Stories Get Around”.
