About the Role
Do you enjoy working outdoors and take pride in creating beautiful, well-maintained spaces? This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the presentation and environment of our School.
As a Gardens and Grounds Worker, you will help create a safe, welcoming and visually appealing space for students, staff and visitors. Working as part of a supportive team, you will contribute to maintaining our extensive grounds to a high standard while supporting a variety of daily operations and special events.
This hands-on role offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to see the direct impact of your work every day. You will work closely with the Senior Grounds Person and wider team in a positive, collaborative environment that values pride, safety, and excellence.
Some of the duties the Gardens and Grounds Worker are required to carry out are:
- Preparing the school grounds each morning to ensure a smooth and welcoming start to the day
- Maintaining gardens and landscaped areas to a high standard, including pruning, fertilising and weed control
- Mowing, edging, and whipper snipping across ovals and grounds
- Supporting landscaping and improvement projects across the campus
- Assisting with watering programs to keep gardens healthy and vibrant
- Keeping paths, car parks, courts, and common areas clean and presentable
- Preparing and maintaining sporting grounds and assisting with event set-up and pack-down
- Maintaining equipment, sheds, and machinery in a clean and safe condition
- Supporting traffic management and general maintenance tasks as required

Any other duties as directed by the Principal, Business Manager, Executive Team members or Senior Grounds Person
