Laboratory Technician – Chemistry Department, Hale School

Hale School is Western Australia’s oldest independent boys’ school. Located in the suburb of Wembley Downs, the current campus is situated on a magnificent 48-hectare site, approximately 13 kilometres to the north-west of Perth and two kilometres from the coast.
Hale School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Laboratory Technician to provide specialist technical support to teaching staff within the Senior School Chemistry Department.
The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient use and maintenance of laboratory resources and equipment and provide administrative, communication, and logistical support to the Department.
The successful applicant will meet the following Selection Criteria:
- TAFE Diploma in Laboratory Techniques or equivalent specialised Chemistry knowledge
- Demonstrated ability in chemical management and laboratory operations
- Strong organisational skills, initiative, flexibility, and ability to meet deadlines
- Significant practical laboratory experience (highly desirable)
- Physical capability for standing, walking, and climbing stairs
- Current “C” Class driver’s licence (desirable)
- First Aid Certificate (desirable)
- Ability to contribute collaboratively as part of a team, supporting a positive and professional working environment
- A current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
