Head of Campus - Pinjarra

 Fairbridge College is currently looking for a full-time Head of Campus to join their team in Fairbridge Village (Pinjarra) WA.This is a highly diverse and hands-on role that will see you assisting the Executive Principal by leading the day-to-day operations of the Pinjarra Campus and working within an innovative and flexible model of education.Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working together with other members of the College Leadership Team to ensure the appropriate implementation of the Fairbridge College teaching and learning model;
  • Overseeing the implementation of the processes and procedures for successfully transitioning students through various stages of their learning journeys;
  • Supporting staff with ongoing professional development, leading regular whole-team reflective practice sessions and daily debriefs;
  • Collaborating with relevant staff on applications for Inclusive Education Funding and NCCD eligibility; and
  • Providing hands-on support to staff around timetabling, behaviour management outcomes and provisioning of student support.

Are you the right fit? - Selection CriteriaTo be considered for this position you will be a qualified teacher and registered, or eligible to obtain registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia. Management experience is essential as is enthusiasm and a genuine passion for learning and teaching, with a commitment to supporting youth-at-risk.An experienced educator with a high level of emotional intelligence and personal insight, you will have a proven ability to utilise different pedagogical and curriculum models.  The ideal candidate would have specific experience in Special Education or working with Youth at Risk.  A background in or understanding of the Berry Street Education Model, trauma informed practice, or relational pastoral care methods would also be highly regarded.You'll be comfortable providing feedback, advice, and professional development support to staff, and be equally committed to your own growth, not afraid to ask questions and always open to learning new skills or approaches. You'll also be able to juggle the needs of students, staff and parents, taking initiative and dealing with sensitive issues with tact and discretion.A creative problem-solver with the flexibility to do things differently, you'll be able to inspire real enthusiasm from the team, ensuring everyone is motivated and working together to help students grow the skills, strategies and confidence needed to successfully navigate their learning journey and beyond.Please note: You will need to hold a current Working with Children card, National Police Clearance, and a first aid certificate prior to commencing. This is your chance to join a well-established not-for-profit organisation that's truly passionate about education - Apply Now!  Send a detailed CV and cover letter addressing the selection criteria described to Jen Newlands, Executive Principal, jnewlands@fairbridge.wa.edu.au
