About The School
Emmanuel Christian Community School is a co-educational K-12 school located in Perth’s northern suburbs. The School opened in 1982 and now has an enrolment of around 700 students. Emmanuel provides a high standard of education and is a ministry of the Girrawheen Baptist Church.
We invite applications from suitably qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated English/HASS Teachers to work in our growing Secondary School. This position is a 12-month parental leave cover, commencing January 2024, with potential for a permanent position in the future.
This position can also be divided into two part-time positions of 0.4 FTE and 0.6 FTE.

The successful Applicant will:

Actively support and promote the objectives and ethos of Christian Education as articulated in the Vision and Mission of the School

Be an active church member and called to this ministry

Be registered with Teacher’s Registration Board of WA (TRBWA)
- Have a good understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum
Selection Criteria (no more than one page in total)

Experience teaching Lower School English and Year 11 English at ATAR level
-
AND/OR experience teaching Lower School HASS
-
The capacity to design creative and engaging educational opportunities for students which support their growth as independent and resilient learners

Experience with ICT skills

Excellent English oral and written literacy skills

Organisational and administrative skills
