The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the College Principal and serving as a key member of the College Executive, the Assistant Principal – Secondary Education will provide strategic and operational leadership across Years 7–12 at both the Malaga and Langford campuses.
This pivotal role is responsible for:
· Leading whole-school secondary teaching and learning excellence
· Driving curriculum alignment and academic consistency across both campuses
· Overseeing ATAR, General, Vocational, and endorsed pathway programs
· Leading Heads of Learning Areas and Heads of Year
· Driving instructional improvement and data-informed practice
· Overseeing timetabling, staffing allocations, and the secondary academic calendar
· Leading major secondary milestones and events
· Strengthening student achievement, engagement, attendance, and wellbeing
· Ensuring compliance with ACARA, SCSA, SIRS, ATAR, NAPLAN, and OLNA requirements
· Building a unified and high-performing secondary culture across both campuses
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will be an accomplished and relational educational leader who demonstrates:
· A minimum of 10 Years school-based experience
· Extensive senior leadership experience within secondary education (Years 7–12) which is ideally accompanied by Post Graduate qualifications in educational leadership or similar
· Proven success in instructional leadership and organisational improvement
· Deep knowledge of ACARA/SCSA/SIRS/ATAR/NAPLAN and OLNA requirements
· Exceptional capacity to lead high-performing teams across multiple campuses
· Strong executive communication and relationship-building skills
· Expertise in curriculum pathways, senior schooling, and operational leadership
· High levels of emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, and organisational capability
· A commitment to faith-based education and community partnership
