Description
AISWA is excited to offer a dynamic and interactive Professional Learning session on parent focused support as a mental health intervention.
We are all acutely aware that the responsibility for mental health has crept firmly into the realm of education - with governments, communities and parents all looking to schools to address complex social and health issues. Sound familiar?
So, let’s start the conversation:
• Have schools reached their limit of ‘doing’ wellbeing?
• Do you have an increasing number of parents relying on school support for challenging behaviour, emotional regulation, technology use, sex education, friendships, relationships?
• Do you have parents who are struggling to support their young people experiencing anxiety, low confidence, low mood?
• Are educators taking on too much when it comes to mental health?
• Is excessive parent expectation contributing to staff burnout?
• Have we overlooked parents as significant change agents in the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people?
