Dear AISWA Members
On Weds 18th, Thurs 19th and 20th September, interruptions to services on the AISWA website resulted in minor issues with saving changes to data. While no data was lost or corrupted, any changes that were made, or new data uploaded, may not have been saved/accepted on the system during that period.
While impact will have been minimal, members are advised to check any changes made between business hours between 18th and 20th of September to ensure changes have been saved as expected.

Kate Mullin Award 2019
The Kate Mullin Award aims to recognise and celebrate educators from any of the three WA school sectors of education, who demonstrate excellence in the teaching of English to Aboriginal students whose first language may be Aboriginal English, an Aboriginal Language or a creole such as the Kimberley Kriol. The educator can self-nominate or be nominated by a line-manager, colleague, student or community member.

STEM – Beyond the Acronym (P-8 AISWA/CEWA STEM Project Day)

Capabilities - Capable Young People
AISWA, Catholic Education WA, WA Primary Principals Association and FORM are pleased to announce a Professional Learning event on Friday 25th October (8:30 – 12:00) featuring Professor Bill Lucas, from the University of Winchester. This event is designed for Principals and senior leaders and addresses:
- General Capabilities from a global perspective;
- Australia’s response to the need to prepare students for a dynamic future; and
- Challenges for school leaders to create cultures which foster the development of capabilities

Free Environmental School Holiday Program
The Earth Assist October School Holiday program is fast approaching. This is a great opportunity for students (aged 15-18) to get hands-on conservation experience, meet like-minded students plus industry professionals, and to give back to the community.
