The College of Engineering, Science and Technology Limited (CEST)

Description
CEST will provide accessible, affordable and high-quality STEM education to senior secondary students. In doing so, it will be a leader in independent, world class, senior school STEM education. And, through the application of scientific and technical learning, help students develop skills and knowledge that are valued by industry. Our vision is to produce critical thinkers who transcend the threat of AI and become creative, independent adults, capable of problem-solving with valued purpose. CEST plans to offer, essentially, three pathway curriculum programs for two student streams: one ATAR (University entrance) pathway; and two VET pathways (towards higher education or employment; according to industry need and student interests/capacity). The three programs apply to both onsite and online students. The commonality is that the three pathways are all STEM-oriented. But the goal is one qualification outcome in common for both streams and programs: WACE graduation; together with achievement of students' aims and dreams in STEM. The VET focus for CEST will be on high order skills, training and technology. Each student will have a personalised Individual Education Plan (IEP). These are to be all-embracing, addressing students' needs, interests and strengths in terms of education and its support, duty of care requirements, social orientations and well-being. Each student will also have an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) related to the individual student's curriculum and its delivery. The school will initially cater to Y11 and Y12 students - Y10 students will be considered at a later date.
