Description
The Southwest Secondary Science Curriculum Network will provide a regional professional learning and collaboration forum for science teachers and leaders across Western Australia’s Southwest. The network will bring together participants from independent, Catholic and Department of Education schools, fostering cross-sector collaboration and the sharing of expertise, resources and effective practices.
At the inaugural meeting, science leaders will engage in discussions that identify regional priorities, shape the network’s direction and clarify participant expectations. Subsequent meetings will welcome science teachers and leaders across the region, offering a platform for collegial discussion, professional collaboration and curriculum updates. Each meeting will be tailored to participant needs, with opportunities to engage with representatives from key education authorities, including SCSA and ACARA, as well as organisations that support science teaching and learning, such as DBCA, ANSTO and curriculum resource providers including the Australian Academy of Science.
Meetings will be hosted by participating schools on a rotating basis.
