AISWA have contracted John Somerset from Somerset Education to run a 1.5 hour video conference in Teams on Tuesday 9 June 2020 at 4.00pm AWST.

Many of you will know Johns reputation, having presented at many ASBA conferences and his long association with schools through the financial questionnaire and benchmarking services.

The session will cover:

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused a significant financial shock to the economy, the waves from which will most likely have long-term economic and financial ramifications.
 
What can schools do now to manage the current situation and prepare for the future?
 
This practical session will outline the attributes of a financially sustainable independent school, the economic context including short-term government support initiatives to help your school manage the present, how your school may respond now, and how to gather practical and factual information to help inform decisions about future operations and report progress in a simple and transparent manner.
