Principal

Description

Telethon Speech & Hearing (TSH) is a proud Western Australian success story.  The only one of its kind in Australia, TSH brings together a range of interconnected services for children with hearing loss and/or language difficulties to support them and their families. Unique in our approach, TSH provides a range of diagnostic, therapeutic and education services to assist children to hear, communicate, connect and learn. We are a not-for-profit organisation, registered charity, independent school and NDIS provider that has supported children and their families since 1966.

We are currently seeking an experienced and values focused Principal to provide guidance and strategic direction to our School Programs.

The role of Principal at TSH is like no other educational leadership role in Western Australia, if not Australia, that’s because TSH is a school like no other.  As the only independent school with a Special School status in WA, TSH delivers the leading educational programs for children with hearing loss, or children with speech or languages delays or disorders.

Reporting to the CEO, the Principal works collaboratively within the senior leadership team to ensure children and families engaging with TSH are provided with a holistic, outcomes driven, family centred service.  The role works closely our speech pathology, occupational therapy and audiology leaders to ensure the effective integration of therapy services into our school programs.

We are not looking for your standard Principal. To be successful at TSH, you will need the skills, approach and background that not only sets you apart, but aligns with our service delivery and future.

We are unwavering about our values and our ability to create an inclusive environment that recognises every person’s unique talent.  Your key strength will, therefore, be your ability to nurture and uphold our supportive, values driven, child safe and family-centred environment. This strength would be underpinned by your experience in educational contexts aligned with TSH’s areas of focus.
