About the role
Relief Primary School Education Assistants provide valuable classroom support across Kindergarten, Pre-Primary, and Primary School classes.
Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff, you will assist in delivering engaging learning experiences, supporting student wellbeing, encouraging positive behaviour, and helping students develop confidence and independence in their learning journey.
This role offers variety, flexibility, and the opportunity to contribute to a Christ-centred learning environment where students are encouraged to flourish academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Key responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning activities within the classroom and small group settings
- Assist with the preparation of learning resources and classroom materials
- Encourage student engagement, participation, and positive learning behaviours
- Support students with literacy, numeracy, and classroom learning activities
- Assist with the implementation of Curriculum Adjustment Plans (CAPs)
- Promote student wellbeing, independence, and confidence
- Support effective classroom management and student self-regulation
- Assist with the supervision of students during classroom and school activities
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to enhance student outcomes
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Essential requirements
- Certificate III in School Based Education Support, Certificate IV in Education Support, or equivalent qualification
- Current Working With Children Check
- A personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ
- Active participation in a church or Christian community, exemplifying Christian beliefs, behaviour, and practices
- Acceptance of the College's Statement of Faith
- Ability to build cooperative and supportive relationships with staff, students, and families
- Commitment to maintaining a child-safe environment in line with the College's values and policies
