Hale School is Western Australia's oldest independent boys' school. Located in the suburb of Wembley Downs, the current campus is situated on a magnificent 48 hectare site, approximately 13 kilometres to the north-west of Perth and two kilometres from the coast.
Hale School invites applications from qualified, experienced educators for two full-time teaching positions. One of these will be offered as a permanent role to an exceptional candidate.
We are seeking teachers of Philosophy, Values and Religion with the ability to teach and engage in some combination of the following classes and courses, within a high-functioning, successful and well-established Philosophy, Values and Religion Department:

Year 11 and 12 Philosophy and Ethics ATAR
-
An Introduction to Philosophy Year 10 elective
-
A Philosophy in Film Year 9 elective
-
Years 7 - 10 Philosophy, Values and Religion
The successful applicants will also be able and willing to participate in Philosophy’s co-curricular program by
-
Helping to coordinate teams for inter-school philosophy tournaments and
-
Supervising weekly lunchtime philosophy club events.
The successful applicants will:

have experience working in high-functioning teams.
- be familiar with the Western Australian Curriculum.
- have an understanding of, and empathy for, the learning needs and social, emotional, and spiritual development of boys.
- have a firm commitment to independent schooling and a willingness to support the School’s values and Anglican traditions.
- hold appropriate academic and teaching qualifications.
- have current registration as a teacher with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia or be eligible for registration.have a current Working with Children (WWC) check.
