FINANCE OFFICER
Casa Mia Montessori School is a co-educational Montessori school in Bassendean, catering for children 3 - 12 years old with an enrolment of 70 students.
Applications are invited from enthusiastic and suitably qualified and experienced candidates who are able to demonstrate a commitment to the Montessori philosophy for the following position:
Finance Officer
Tenure: Long Service Leave cover (6 weeks)
This position will assist the Principal with the financial management of the school and be required to demonstrate:
- Effectiveness in financial and accounting functions (including accounts payable, accounts receivable and end-of-month procedures)
- Experience in preparing and analysis of budget and monthly financial reports
- Ability to follow specified policies, procedures and internal control and audit processes
- Experience in maintaining personnel records and payroll system for staff
- Proficiency in the use of computer processing and commercial finance systems
- Strong time management and organisational abilities in an office environment
- Ability to work cooperatively within a wider team environment
- Commitment to personal and team effectiveness
Essential Skills
- Considerable skill and experience with MYOB software
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Good communication skills
- Bookkeeping or accounting background
