Al-Ameen College is seeking a professionally accountable and student-focused Physical Education teacher to join our Secondary Health & Physical Education Department in 2025. This position is ideal for a teacher who values structure, safety, and collaboration, and who will contribute positively to a department committed to high standards, respectful teamwork, and student growth. We are undergoing exciting developments in our programs and expectations. Applicants must demonstrate the capacity to follow policy, take direction, and contribute with reliability and integrity. Start Date: Week 4, Term 3 2025 Contract: Fixed Term until Week 4, Term 3 2026 (FTE negotiable). The College may choose to extend it or offer a permanent position based on performance and organisational needs.
Essential Criteria:
• Current TRBWA registration (Full or Provisional)
• Valid Working with Children Check
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Education (HPE focus)
• Sound knowledge of the WA HPE Curriculum
• Demonstrated ability to follow school procedures, duty of care protocols, and leadership direction
• Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to work collaboratively across Primary and Secondary campuses
• Enthusiastic participation in co-curricular sport and wellbeing programs
• Respect for the Islamic ethos, including dress code and professional conduct expectations
Desirable but Not Essential:
• Valid LR/MR Bus License
• Experience teaching ATAR Physical Education Studies
• Experience coaching in Touch Rugby, Soccer, Badminton, or Volleyball
• Experience or qualification in Outdoor Education or excursion coordination

Our Health & PE Department has recently launched a thriving Sports Academy that offers high-performance opportunities in Badminton, Soccer, and Volleyball. We are proud of our growing program, which provides student-athletes with unique pathways for development and success. Our department works closely with the Primary school team, creating a seamless and collaborative approach to student wellbeing, movement, and engagement. As such, strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
