Santa Maria College is a leading Catholic girls' school, founded by the Sister's of Mercy with 1,280 students in Years 5 -12 including 150 boarders.

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Head of Technology and Commerce.  The successful applicant will be innovative and have the capacity to lead a dynamic, committed team.

Our ideal candidate will have excelled in a similar position with proven capabilities as a visionary leader who can lead change, inspire people, and deliver on strategy. The successful candidate will have experience developing staff, outstanding knowledge of Technology and Commerce and passion for engaging girls in creative thinking. This full-time, 2 year fixed term leadership position, commences in Term 1, 2024

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Commitment to the ethos and values of Catholic and Mercy education.
  • A proven ability as a visionary leader.
  • Understanding of current research relevant to the Technology and Commerce education of girls.
  • Exemplary knowledge and proven practice in contemporary teaching and learning of including the ability to teach Technology, Business Management and Enterprise or Accounting.
  • The capacity for innovative thinking to ensure the relevance and engagement of students in learning
  • Ability to effectively guide the continued growth and development of staff.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills to develop collaborative teams.
  • Expertise and confidence in resolving issues.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning.
  • Excellent organisational skills.

  • Appropriate teacher qualifications
  • Eligibility for teacher registration in Western Australia
  • Working With Children Check
