At St Stephen’s School, we believe every student is known, valued and supported to thrive. We are seeking an experienced and passionate educational leader to join our Carramar Campus as Head of Learning Enrichment from Term 1, 2027.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a dedicated professional who is committed to inclusive education and excellence in teaching and learning. Working across Kindergarten to Year 12, the Head of Learning Enrichment will lead and oversee Learning Enrichment services, ensuring students requiring support, intervention or extension are provided with equitable access to high-quality educational opportunities.
 

About the Role

The Head of Learning Enrichment provides strategic and operational leadership of Learning Enrichment programs and services across the campus. This role is responsible for leading a skilled Learning Enrichment team and ensuring effective student support structures are in place to meet diverse learning needs.

Working collaboratively with teachers, school leaders, students, families and external professionals, the successful candidate will champion a culture of inclusion, belonging and continuous improvement while contributing to the broader strategic direction of the School.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the delivery and continuous improvement of Learning Enrichment services from Kindergarten to Year 12.

  • Managing Learning Enrichment programs, staffing, resources and support services across the campus.

  • Overseeing documented plans, intervention programs, extension opportunities and alternative learning pathways.

  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, funding requirements and School policies.

  • Coordinating and submitting student funding applications and associated documentation.

  • Supporting teachers to differentiate learning and strengthen inclusive classroom practice.

  • Providing leadership and guidance in complex student matters and case management processes.

  • Working closely with the Learning Enrichment Coordinator and other school leaders to ensure consistent and effective support for students.

  • Building strong partnerships with families and external specialists to achieve positive student outcomes

About You

The successful applicant will be an experienced educator and leader who is passionate about supporting diverse learners and empowering staff to deliver inclusive, high-quality teaching and learning programs.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in Learning Enrichment, Inclusive Education or a related area.

  • A strong understanding of evidence-based practices that support students requiring intervention, adjustment or extension.

  • Knowledge of legislative and compliance requirements relating to students with diverse learning needs.

  • Experience managing student funding applications and associated processes.

  • Excellent communication, coaching and relationship-building skills.

  • A collaborative leadership style and a commitment to fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging.

  • The ability to work strategically while effectively managing operational priorities.
