The position will be full time and located at the College’s campus situated at 157 Kingsway. Darch Western Australia 6017.
Full-time Salary range - $86,000 to $108,000

Essential:

Hold academic teaching qualifications that meet the Department of Education requirements and experience as a secondary school teacher in the appropriate subject area, delivering the Western Australian Curriculum.

Demonstrated proficiency in the French language – able to speak fluently and demonstrate competency in reading and writing of the French language.

Demonstrated commitment to personal growth, education and welfare of students.

Able to demonstrate inter-personal and problem-solving skills, and effective communication and conflict resolution skills in dealing with students, parents and staff.

Be an innovative, resourceful and enthusiastic teacher and leader.

Demonstrated familiarity with a variety of teaching and learning strategies to meet students’ needs and course objectives.

Proficient and experienced in ICT and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Have an understanding of Christian Education.

Have a range of professional strengths, abilities and interests, able to enhance the learning program.
Duties of the Position
- Set clear, challenging, and achievable expectations for each student.
- Foster student engagement, motivation, and enthusiasm to make lessons meaningful.
- Prepare and plan lessons thoroughly, catering to the diverse needs of students.
- Use a variety of effective teaching strategies to support learning and critical thinking.
- Implement classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress using diagnostic and formative assessment methods.
- Communicate effectively with students and parents about each student’s learning and development.
- Recognise and address the unique educational needs of different student groups by developing tailored teaching strategies.
