About the role: Childcare Educator - Certificate IV in OSHC

 

 

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children? Do you thrive in a nurturing, faith-based environment? South Coast Baptist College's Childcare Centre is looking for a dedicated Certificate IV in OSHC Qualified Childcare Educator to join our vibrant team!

 

As a Certificate IV in OSHC Qualified Childcare Educator at South Coast Baptist College, you will:

  • Provide education and care consistent with South Coast Baptist College's beliefs and values.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for children, families, and team members.
  • Assist in delivering high-quality education programs and practices.
  • Develop strong, supportive connections with children and their families.
  • Work effectively with colleagues to achieve the highest standard of care and education.
  • Actively contribute to a culture of reflective practice and ongoing improvement.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Approved ACECQA Certificate IV in OSHC or equivalent, First Aid qualification, and Child Protection certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in an approved education and care service.
  • Understanding of National Quality Standards, Early Years Learning Framework, and the Reggio Emilia Approach.
  • Strong leadership abilities, proficient computer skills, and effective communication skills.

 

Essential Criteria:

  • To have a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • To actively be a part of a Church or Christian community and exemplify Christian beliefs, behaviour, and practices.
  • To accept the College’s Statement of Faith.
  • Build co-operative and supportive relationships with the board, principal, staff, students and parents.
  • Work to ensure personal best practice.
  • Ensure that decision making is based on fact and is impartial and fair.
  • Model the use of appropriate and proper channels of communication.
  • Always act in the best interest of the College and its ethos.
  • Adhering to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC.
  • HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting.
  • Working With Children Card.
