Santa Maria College is an all girls' Catholic College, founded by the Sisters of Mercy with 1,280 students from Year 5 to Year 12 which includes 150 boarders.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Catering Assistant. The role will provide support for the smooth running of all College functions and events, from staff teas to graduations, across the College calendar year. Duties include assisting with set up of venues, arranging and providing catering, assisting with event presentation and helping with pack down. The role will ensure that the College Staff Community Room and other such facilities are well maintained throughout the term time.
This role is a part-time ongoing position, commencing in May 2022.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following essential skills:
- Model and maintain the Catholic and Mercy ethos and traditions of the College
- Produce and make effective use of clear and complete checklists and run sheets
- Close attention to detail
- Personable and professional manner
- Customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and to carry out directions accurately
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Desirable but not essential:
- Experience in a comparable role
- Experience working as a member of a team
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- A current and validated National Criminal History Record Check (as issued by the Western Australian Department of Education)
- Working With Children Check
- Completion of Child Protection Training on appointment
