In anticipation of SEDA College WA commencing in 2021, SEDA is assisting the College with the recruitment of a highly organised and diligent Business Services Manager, on a full-time basis. You will be responsible for supporting the Principal on all matters of business administration and financial control of the College including annual budget, cash flow, fees collection, rebates, and payment of accounts and human resources. You will attend College Board meetings as adviser to the Board on financial, compliance and company matters hence you will review and develop the Business Continuity plan for the College.At SEDA College WA, we live our values of professionalism, collaboration, integrity, and innovation. You will be joining the College as a pivotal part of the WA Leadership team, so it’s critical that you can demonstrate a proven track record in a similar capacity to be considered, backed up by relevant tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Accounting and CA/CPA membership. Working with children check, national police check and a current driver’s license.Key Qualities

  • A strong sense of trust and a high level of confidentiality and integrity
  • Demonstrated and proven experience in accounting related roles preferably within a commercial environment with a hands-on approach
  • Previous experience in a similar role within education (favourable but not essential)
  • A strong confident communication style and the ability to interface professionally at all levels with staff and external parties – face to face, via email and phone
  • Ability to work independently and contribute effectively as a team member to achieve goals
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with an ability to prioritise and manage workload, meet deadlines and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Ability to identify issues and propose solutions
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Programs and other relevant database programs

Key Responsabilities

  • Ensure that the College complies with relevant legislation and regulation, and keeps Board members informed of their legal responsibilities
  • Oversee the finance functions of the College
  • Monitoring and preparation of monthly management reports including Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash flow and related analysis documents
  • Lead, manage and oversee the College Business Services team
  • Oversee the HR function of the College and the Head Office administation team
  • Oversee the preparation of statistical data and information to government departments and Independent Schools Western Australia (State and Federal Census; Demographic data) and coordinate any audit visits arising from the submission of data to government agencies
  • Lead, manage and oversee the College ICT team
