The evening will commence with an update on The Great Education Shift, the national campaign highlighting the value and contribution of Independent schools across Australia.

We will then hear from Cybernetic Shield, who will lead a practical discussion on the Board's role in overseeing student and staff safety in an increasingly digital environment. This session will focus on the governance considerations that School Boards should be addressing to ensure their schools are well prepared to prevent, respond to, and recover from online incidents.

Topics will include:

• Emerging online risks affecting students, staff, and school communities.
• The Board's oversight role and its relationship to operational responsibilities.
• What good cyber preparedness and incident response look like from a governance perspective.
• Practical questions Boards can use to assess their school's preparedness and resilience.
