This Term 4 meeting is an opportunity for AISWA Primary Leaders in the Bunbury region to meet and discuss teaching and learning matters in a collegiate forum. 

The purpose of this network meeting is to:

  • Identify and discuss any recent Curriculum Updates 
  • review and share aspects of our school Assessment Policies, ahead of Term 4 Reporting
  • share knowledge, experience, and resources with/amongst members.
  • hear a presentation from our host school: 'Adjusting one’s course through design thinking; our journey with NoTosh"
  • invite primary leaders to stay connected via the APLN Closed Facebook Group - please request to join https://www.facebook.com/groups/AISWAprimaryleaders

Maree Whiteley <span>(AISWA Staff)</span>

Maree Whiteley works with teachers and curriculum leaders to bring innovative and practical pedagogies into the classroom, through special projects and whole-school planning. Currently working as an AISWA Consultant in the Primary Teaching and Learning area, with specific expertise within the Humanities and Social Sciences Learning Area, this gives Maree the perfect platform to go beyond the curriculum, exploring areas of global imperatives for our young people, such as ethical and humanitarian issues, critical thinking and cultural competence. Maree continues to enjoy sharing her experience, knowledge and expertise with others in workshops, conferences and in online forums.

Rob Whirledge

Rob Whirledge

Rob joined Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School in 2017 as Head of Primary, having spent the previous 12 years at an Anglican School in Busselton.  He is a strong advocate of Carol Dwek’s ‘Growth Mindset’, believing that hard work and perseverance are the key to achieving one’s goals.  Rob graduated from Cambridge University in 1992 and worked for almost a decade as a property consultant in London before ‘seeing the light’ and moving across the globe and into teaching. He is continually amazed by what children are able to achieve and by their endless curiosity and enthusiasm.
