Description

Join us at the Term 3  VET & Careers Network meeting, hosted by the College of Electrical Training. Come to connect with colleagues, receive current sector updates and strengthen your school’s approach to VET, career development and workplace learning.

These meetings provide a practical forum for VET Coordinators, Careers Advisors, Workplace Learning Coordinators and related school staff.

Participants will hear updates from industry partners, Career Education agencies, Registered Training Providers, and sector colleagues. Schools can access relevant information, resources and examples of practice to support effective program planning and delivery. The network meeting also provides an opportunity to discuss emerging issues, share school perspectives and build partnerships that support student pathways, training opportunities and career readiness.

Wade McLeod <span>(AISWA Staff)</span>

Wade McLeod has spent the past 17 years working across the education sector, following earlier roles in business, hospitality and retail. After teaching English in Europe and China, he returned to Australia to move into adult education, delivering the Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and supporting secondary teachers delivering VET in schools. His work later took him to Jakarta to implement VET programs in Indonesian schools before returning to Perth as a consultant, building strong relationships with VET coordinators and teachers in more than 100 WA schools.

Wade joined AISWA in 2014, focusing on strengthening connections between industry and schools and supporting the growth of VET programs across the sector. His contributions include developing a new AISWA funding model, increasing school and regional engagement, launching a dedicated VET newsletter, and establishing a standalone VET webpage.
