Description

Adobe and AISWA are offering a professional learning opportunity for K-12 teachers (all curriculum areas) interested in enhancing their skills and knowledge with a range of Adobe’s free and professional creativity tools during an Adobe Multimedia Immersion: Muse, Spark, Photoshop, Presenter, Premiere Clip and Premiere Pro.

We aim to cover the following software, resources and concepts during the session:

  • Photoshop tips & tricks for teachers
  • Introducing the free Adobe Spark tools
  • Multimodal text creation with Adobe Muse & Adobe Spark
  • Flipped learning with Adobe Presenter, Adobe Spark & Premiere Clip
  • Basic video production with Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Classroom resources via Adobe Education Exchange
  • New research in teaching Gen Z students

This session will be facilitated by Dr Tim Kitchen, Adobe’s Senior Education Specialist for Asia Pacific, and relate to the following Australian Professional Standards for Teachers:

  • Know students and how they learn
  • Know the content and how to teach it
  • Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning
  • Engage in professional learning
  • Engage professionally with colleagues and the community

Dr Tim Kitchen

Following over twenty years of teaching experience in Melbourne, Dr Tim Kitchen is currently Adobe’s Senior Education Specialist for Asia Pacific. A passionate advocate for creativity in education, and a well recognised education thought leader in Australia, Tim is a regular writer and presenter for a wide range of national and international journals and conferences. Tim regularly liaises with government officials, schools, universities, Adobe partner companies and organisations with a focus on enhancing creativity in education. He also manages the Adobe Education leadership and active use programs throughout Australasia and supports the professional learning activities within the Adobe Education Exchange which now has over 300,000 members.
