Description

This Network Day is an opportunity for HOLAs and other interested teachers to meet and discuss current issues in the teaching of Secondary English, share resources and ideas, and engage in professional learning.

This networking session is conducted in conjunction with Catholic Education WA.

9.00am           Guest Presenter: Professor Kim Scott (Curtin University)

10.00am         Questions and discussion

 

10:30am        MORNING TEA

 

11.00am        Choosing texts by First Nations Australian authors - Presenters: John Crooks and Kylie Agale (CEWA)

12.00pm        Highlights of the ALEA/AATE Conference - Presenter: John Crooks (CEWA)

 

12.30pm         LUNCH

 

1.15pm           Sharing ideas and resources in specific year groups and course groups; plus - Teacher presentations

2.00pm           Lively Action; Using Drama to teach English and Literature – Live link up with the Globe Theatre in London

3.00pm           Future Professional Learning Discussion and Evaluation

3.30pm           Close
