Description
School-based psychologist network meetings are held biannually at AISWA, one in Term 2 and one in Term 4. The meetings allow psychologists in Independent schools to meet with their peers.
The guest presenter for this meeting will be Jo Lockhart, Manager, Crisis Support from Lifeline WA. Jo will speak about how Lifeline works, the types of callers and issues that they field, and address some myths about Lifeline. i.e., it is not ‘just a suicide hotline.
Please note, we welcome the attendance of school counsellors at this session.
If time and publication permit, we will also look at the updated ‘School response and planning guidelines for students with suicidal behaviour and non-suicidal self-injury’.
LIGHT REFRESHMENTS WILL BE SERVED FROM 1.00 PM.
