Passionate about justice and humanity, Stan Grant links the importance of leadership and the impact of history, and above all believes in the power and resilience of people. All of which aligns perfectly with the NRW 2022 theme, 'Be Brave. Make Change'.

Reconciliation WA is inviting one million Western Australians to join our National Reconciliation Week Breakfast on Friday 27 May. Here is your chance to hear from Stan Grant as he speaks to this year’s theme as our keynote.

Come together over breakfast as we join this virtual event. Be part of the thousands of Western Australians who will be joining online to listen to keynote speakers. 
A light breakfast will be served 

8.05am-8.30am: Welcome to Country | 8.05am - 8.20am
We will be Welcomed to Country from four nations as we connect our vast state for the 2022 National Reconciliation Week Breakfast. We acknowledge that attendees will be tuning in from many different nations, and that this is a small sample of the rich and diverse Communities and Language groups across WA. We come together to celebrate, acknowledge and respect all First Nations People. The Hon. Tony Buti will present on reconciliation on behalf of the State Government of Western Australia. 

8.30am-9.00am: Key Note Address by Mr Stan Grant | 8.30am - 8.50am
Stan Grant is a Wiradjuri and Kamilaroi man, is the International Affairs Editor for the ABC and a multi-award winning current affairs host and author. Passionate about justice and humanity, join to hear Mr Grant's keynote address for National Reconciliation Week 2022.

9.00am-9.15am: Our next generation of Reconciliation alllies | 9.00am - 9.15am
We welcome the children across WA to join the Breakfast for a special Cultural performance by Kaarla Hart Dancers among the collections at Boola Bardip – WA Museum. We will then venture to Mosman Park Primary School, National Finalist in the Narragunnawali Awards as we focus on Reconciliation in our schools and early learning centres.
 
9.15am-9.45am: Panel Discussion from our Regions | 9.15am - 9.50am
Leaders from the regions will reflect on the challenge and progress across WA as they unpack the theme ‘Be Brave. Make Change’ and a call to action for rural and remote Western Australia. 
 
9.45am-10.00am: NRW Virtual Breakfast close | 9.45am - 9.55am
Join Reconciliation WA Co-Chairs Carol Innes AM and Gary Smith as they wrap up the National Reconciliation Week Virtual Breakfast.
