Description
Nature Pedagogy and Practice - Workshop 3
AISWA Early Childhood is offering a Nature Pedagogy workshop aimed at providing educators with the skills, knowledge and confidence to make nature pedagogy a sustainable and ongoing part of their early childhood classroom practice. Nature Pedagogy Workshops are run by educators and nature pedagogues who have a recognised expertise in nature play.
During this Nature Pedagogy workshop participants will explore the art of Nature Journaling as a way to build Botanical literacies in ourselves and in the children we teach.
Nature journaling helps us, and our children, to slow down and pay attention to the natural world around us. A nature journal might include sketches, pressed flowers, notes and labels, poetry, rubbing or photographs. While there are no rules, through the process of journaling we acquire botanical knowledge and a deeper connection to our natural environment.
This workshop is hands-on and practical so come dressed for the occasion. All attendees will receive a gift of sketch materials to start their own Nature Journal.
Lunch is not provided, please bring food and drinks with you.
Numbers are limited and registrations are essential.
