Description
These workshops build on the knowledge and practical strategies from the Lead with Intention project led by Dr Amie Fabry. They are designed to strengthen the capability of early childhood leaders by deepening their understanding and applying effective leadership practices in real-world settings.
Participants will engage in collaborative learning, reflect on their leadership approaches, and explore strategies to support teams, improve outcomes for children, and lead with clarity, confidence, and intention in their everyday practice.
Outcomes
- Connect with like minded colleagues who have engaged with the Lead with Intention framework.
- Build upon their leadership capabilities and refine approaches to leading in the early years.
- Reflect upon their current practices and context and set goals for personal and team growth.

Debbie Bolton (AISWA Staff)
Consultant | Early Childhood
Debbie Bolton is a dedicated and passionate educator who has spent the past 35 years in schools in Western Australia and England. She has extensive experience teaching in the early years and leading as an Early Childhood Coordinator, Deputy Head of Primary and Head of Primary. Debbie has a proven track record in curriculum development, pastoral care and staff support. She is committed to leading, demonstrating and advocating for educational excellence in the early years and beyond.
Amie Fabry
I am passionate about improving opportunities for young children to thrive as learners and citizens of the world. In my role as Director of Early Childhood at The Learning Future, I draw on my multifaceted experience in teaching, academia, consultancy and research to design and facilitate professional learning programs that empower and enable educators, leaders and children to flourish in early education settings.
My PhD research focused on early childhood pedagogical leadership and how it influences teachers' implementation of early childhood pedagogical practices in school settings and I am committed to raising awareness of this integral role as a driver of ongoing improvement in the early years.
