Description
The Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum (KS:CPC) aims to help children and students from preschool to senior secondary learn to recognise abuse and develop ways of protecting themselves from abuse. In wider terms, KS:CPC covers rights, relationships, responsibilities and ethical behaviour.
Due to the subject matter, children (under 18 years) are not permitted to attend.
Please note this course is only available for Staff Members at Carey Baptist College Harrisdale - Staff must be logged into their AISWA account to be able to register.
There are 3 dates for this course:
Staff Teaching Years 7-8 on the 8-11-18 from 9.00am - 4.00pm
Staff Teaching Years 9-10 on the 16-11-18 from 9.00am - 4.00pm
Staff Teaching Years 11-12 on the 21-11-18 from 9.00am - 4.00pm
Only the 8-11-18 date is visible on the AISWA calendar but please use this event to register for any of these 3 dates.

Lynne Nixon (AISWA Staff)
Consultant | Child Protection

Over many years, Lynne has gained extensive experience in both education and small business ownership. Her teaching career in NSW and WA spans early childhood, primary, and lower secondary classrooms, as well as special needs education and music. She has also held school leadership roles, including Principal of an independent school in WA. In addition, Lynne has supported and mentored school leaders and assisted schools through the school registration process.
Since joining AISWA in 2017, Lynne has demonstrated her passion for supporting schools in the areas of special needs education and child protection. Her roles have included Inclusive Education Consultant and Coordinator, and she currently serves as a Child Protection Consultant.
In her current role, Lynne provides guidance and support to all AISWA schools in the areas of child safety and protection. She is the key contact for inquiries related to child abuse, including mandatory reporting, and delivers a variety of training programs focused on preventing and responding to child abuse, ensuring schools meet registration requirements.
