Description

The Inclusive Education symposium provides unique opportunities for learning support teachers and coordinators to meet and engage in Professional Learning as well as network with peers. This event is specifically designed to address the practical and strategic needs in educating students with disability, recognising the importance of inclusive practices and aligning with current policy. The February symposium will have a dedicated funding focus, exploring state grants. A dedicated Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD) session will focus on key updates, collection of evidence, decision making to determine levels of adjustment and the category of disability through a moderation process.

Outcomes

  • Update on current trends in inclusive education for students with disability.
  • Gain knowledge of current evidence-based practices for students with disability.
  • Networking with member colleagues and building a network of peers for advice and support.
  • Update on state funding eligibility criteria and processes.
