Description
Join Data#3 for an exclusive virtual event for K-12 education and ICT leaders.
You'll hear from Microsoft, a global technology leader empowering schools through secure, intelligent and innovative digital solutions, and Veeam, a software platform provider specialising in data backup, disaster recovery and modern data protection.
Across two expert-led sessions, Microsoft and Veeam will explore current priorities for schools, including AI readiness, security, digital transformation and long-term technology planning. The Microsoft session will provide an education-focused update and guidance on upcoming anniversary planning considerations, while Veeam will share practical strategies to strengthen cyber resilience and protect critical school data. Attendees will leave with actionable insights to support secure, future-ready learning environments.
Session 1 - Microsoft Education Update: Key Announcements and Anniversary Readiness
Presented by Cristian Laurens
Microsoft continues to invest heavily in security, AI and modern learning experiences. This session will unpack the latest announcements and updates relevant to K-12 schools, helping education leaders understand the implications for their environment and future planning. We'll also provide guidance on the upcoming Microsoft Anniversary cycle, including what schools should be preparing for and how to maximise value from their Microsoft investments.
Session 2 – Veeam: From Breach to Recovery: A Practical Guide for School IT Teams
Presented by Isabella Augustyniak & Michael Wong
Most schools rely on Microsoft 365, Entra ID, student systems and lean IT teams, while the volume and importance of their data continues to grow. With privacy reforms, tighter breach notification requirements and increasing expectations around cyber resilience, schools need to know their critical data can be protected, recovered and available when it matters. In this session, we’ll explore common risks across Microsoft 365, Entra ID and other data sources, practical approaches to retention and immutability, and what realistic recovery looks like when ransomware strikes.
You’ll leave with practical actions you can take immediately and insights into how Australian schools are tackling these challenges.
Connect with peers from across the independent school sector.
