Description
Samantha Wynne will lead this workshop for Early Childhood educators and leaders involved in developing or implementing their school’s Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and Early Childhood philosophy statement. The session offers a research-informed exploration of how young children learn, with a strong focus on aligning this understanding with pedagogy, practice, and whole-school priorities. Participants will be invited to critically reflect on their current EC philosophy statement, consider how effectively it guides practice, and examine how the QIP can more clearly articulate high-quality learning and teaching in the early years. This workshop provides valuable insight, discussion, and practical guidance for strengthening coherence across philosophy, pedagogy, and improvement planning.
Outcomes
- Build capacity to lead reflective practice in early childhood teams.
- Evaluate the appropriateness of the early years philosophy statement in their setting.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of their QIP and identify goals for future improvement.
