Health and Safety Representative Training

Description

This 5 day Health and Safety Representative training course will be delivered by Unity Training, an approved health and safety representative training provider who have substantial experience delivering the course to school based participants.

The courses will be conducted at the AISWA offices in Osborne Park. The cost for the 5 days will be $760 per person.

Please note that although not essential the trainers strongly recommended that all those attending the HSR training have been elected as an HSR. The training will be delivered as if all attendees are an elected HSR.

There are two courses available on this PL calendar.

Course 1              27 March to 31 March

Course 2               17 April to 21 April

If the course is full, please add your name to the wait list as further courses can be arranged if there are a number of people on the wait list.

Participants are encouraged to bring (or have access to) their schools WHS policies and procedures, any other safety and health documentation their school has, as well as any records/statistics they have around accidents and workers compensation claims (please consider privacy). This information is not for sharing with the group but will help participants as they consider the risks employees are facing at their worksite.

Please note that in order to keep costs down no lunch is provided. All day coffee and tea will be available as well as morning and afternoon tea. Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch and keep it in the provided refrigerator, or alternatively there are cafes close to AISWA, one within easy walking distance.

Please note that the only parking available is street parking at $5 per day.

AISWA is a 15 min walk from Glendalough Train Station, or you can catch the 407 circuit bus from the station to a stop across the road from the AISWA offices.
