Description

Network days provide opportunities for teachers to meet and engage in Professional Learning throughout the academic year.  The Network Days are designed to meet the specific needs of teachers engaged in the various English courses.  A range of presenters and activities are sourced for these events to address the demands of each of the courses.

The specific demands of English Foundation and English General are targeted in the PL featured at these meetings.  The day may also feature English Preliminary if teachers working with that course are registered.  Teachers involved in these courses also have the opportunity to share relevant resources and knowledge.

This PL is run in conjunction with CEWA.

Outcomes

  • To share ideas, planning and resources between teachers of English Foundation and General Courses.
  • To engage in Professional Learning specifically related to English teachers.

John has worked in education for 34 years, and is currently Secondary English and Performing Arts Consultant with Catholic Education Western Australia Ltd.  He has taught in remote and urban schools. Before becoming a teacher, he worked as a musician, and in theatre.

Parking is at Hale Hockey Car Park which is located past the Newman Siena Centre by the round about. Please do not park in the bay marked “Reserved” located at the entrance to this car park at all times. There are also 2 carbays for Disabled parking located at the front of Newman Siena Centre. ACROD permits need to be displayed clearly at all times when utilising these bays. Newman Siena Centre Rear Car Park - The rear car park is for NEWMAN SIENA CENTRE STAFF/TENANTS ONLY, and not accessible for seminar parking AT ALL TIMES.
