Description

While Drama stands alone as a subject in the Western Australian Curriculum, Drama as pedagogy can also be a powerful tool to engage students in learning. This workshop gives participants the opportunity to explore children’s books with drama process strategies.

Content includes:

  • An introduction to the research on Arts in Education
  • Curriculum links
  • Exploring a text as students through workshop activities
  • Matching process drama strategies to texts
  • Leading activities with the group

Participants will leave with a selection of ideas to take back to their own classrooms. No previous drama experience is required.
